Premiered by Valencia International Contemporary Ensemble (VICE) (Emmanuel Berrido, conductor) at the Auditorium Ateneo Musical del Puerto, Valencia, Spain, on July 8, 2023.

Note

“Rukh” is the Punjabi word for “tree”. Trees are an important symbol in Panjabi culture for humility; they provide us with food, water, shelter, and more without asking for anything in return.
