Note

Khulasa is a Punjabi word that refers to the process of revealing or unraveling information. I wrote this piece during a transition period of my life, and as I move into these new stages I'm constantly experimenting with new lifestyles, friendships, and musics, including within this piece in which I stepped out of the musical "comfort zone" I found myself in. Stepping out of one's comfort zone requires one to be open to fragility and nakedness, so Khulasa poses a challenging question to all involved – performers, listeners, and myself: how do you deal with being exposed to such vulnerability?​
